AdvocateHealthCare Doctors Recount Lifesaving Operation on Baby with 4 Legs, 2 Spines

Five surgeons at Advocate Children's Hospital recount the incredible, lifesaving operation they performed on a 9-month-old baby girl from Africa’s Ivory Coast.

Baby Dominique, now 10 months old, was born with an undeveloped parasitic conjoined twin. The bottom half of her twin’s body, from the waist down, including legs and feet, were protruding from her upper back and neck.

Born on the Ivory Coast of Africa, there were no means for her to have the surgery she desperately needed. Advocate Children’s Hospital knew they could help. Listen in to our press conference to learn how a team of 5 surgeons and over 50 clinicians forever changed Baby Dominique’s life.
